In 2019, I realised the massive amount of plastic waste my family and I were generating daily – everything from food storage to travel essentials was packed conveniently in single-use plastic zip locks. The more I read about its harmful effects, the more I wanted my family & kids to move away from plastic baggies. This realisation sparked a change and pushed me to seek environmentally friendly, reusable alternatives that were safe, pocket-friendly, hassle-free and versatile to simplify our busy lives and promote a greener planet. Traditional glass and steel were too bulky, inconvenient and injury prone; so when I discovered food-grade platinum silicone (derived from natural substance silica found in sand and rocks) I knew it was the solution as a safer and viable sustainable alternative. By late 2021 I launched UNPLASTIK to provide practical and sustainable options.

Our versatile Storage Bags and Containers, made from 100% premium food-grade silicone with 0% plastic, eliminate the risk of toxins leaching into your food. They are Leakproof and can handle temperatures from -30C to +210C making them perfectly safe for microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher use.
