You can make your own beeswax food wrap at home. All you need is an iron and this kit, you can make your own beeswax food wrap in no time.
This package consists of:
1 pc beeswax food wrap measuring 20 x 20 cm
1 pc batik cloth measuring 20 x 20 cm
1 baking paper measuring 40 x 60 cm
1 pack of beeswax blend bars consisting of 4 pcs.
How to use:
Grate beeswax blend bar. You can use a cheese grater at home.
Sprinkle grated beeswax on the upcycled fabric that will be ironed until it is even, but not too much.
Cover the cloth with baking paper by cupping it so that the iron does not stick directly to the beeswax.
Iron the cloth that has been covered with paper at a hot temperature until evenly distributed but don't press too hard so that the melted beeswax can completely penetrate the surface of the cloth.
Just iron 1 side of the fabric because the beeswax will melt and be absorbed automatically to the bottom side of the fabric.
Open the paper layer and immediately lift the cloth to air manually for a few seconds.
Beeswax foodwrap can be used straight away.
Tips:
Beeswax foodwrap can be used to coat containers containing food or fruit or vegetables directly because it is made from food grade so it is safe to use.
Do not use beeswax foodwrap to coat containers or dishes that are still hot because it causes the beeswax layer to melt
Wash beeswax foodwrap with natural soap and drain like washing normal food containers.
