Lemon oil has a brightening effect and anti-ageing properties,so youthful. Oh, and in case you were wondering, lemon essential oil is one of the food-grade essential oils that you can add to food. It is said to aid in digestion and improve your immunity.
How to use
Lemon oil, like most citrus oils, is rich in benefits and is used in various topical applications, for internal consumption and for its cleaning properties.
Start your day by drinking a glass of warm water with a drop of lemon oil and you will notice what a powerful immunity booster and detoxification agent this oil is! Add a few drops of lemon oil to your facewash, facepack or skin cream to nourish skin. This is due to its strong antioxidising and anti ageing properties.
Lemon oil is a powerful cleaning agent, primarily due to the presence of b-pinene and limonene in its composition. Add a few drops to your laundry detergent, or make your own household/glass cleaning spray to rid your house of dirt and bacteria. Lemon oil can also be used to make your own natural teeth whitener or nail polish remover.
Lemon oil has anti inflammatory properties that helps fight respiratory conditions. Simply dilute in coconut oil and apply on the neck and chest to get relief from a cough or phlegm. Lemon oil is very effective to help ease nausea - just inhale lemon oil from the bottle or apply a few drops to a handkerchief that you can smell.
You could also diffuse some in the room. LEMON OIL DIFFUSER BLEND 3 drops of lemon oil 2 drops of himalayan lavender oil 1 drop of mysore sandalwood oil
Where is it sourced?
Ollie's lemon oil is made by cold pressing the peel of the fruit. Yes, that's right! It's a brilliant way to use up lemon peels that would otherwise have gone to waste. Did you know it takes 125 kg of lemons to make 1 kg of lemon oil? Just imagine how much vitamin C is in a single drop.
Caution
If you are using lemon oil on your skin, please make sure to dilute it well with a carrier oil. Do take note that lemon oil is phototoxic, so avoid direct exposure to sunlight for around 12 hours after applying on your skin. Although Ollie's lemon oil is edible, we urge you to consume it sparingly! Remember, it takes many, many lemons to make each bottle of lemon oil, so each drop is highly concentrated.
